In response to the limitations on mobile internet and the interference with certain private radio frequencies, the Guinean government has issued a statement.

The government spokesperson contends that internet access is not an inherent right that individuals must necessarily assert. Concerning radio frequency interference, Ousmane Gaoual Diallo accuses the affected radios of failing to adhere to the ethical and professional standards governing their profession.

He further announces that the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, along with the regulatory authority, will soon respond to the letter they received from the High Communications Authority on this matter.

Tofik Abdul Nasr provides more details in this report by Conakry correspondent Thierno Alpha Ibrahima Balde.
