The union of press professionals in Guinea met on Wednesday with the United Nations mission present in the country to assess the process of returning to constitutional order.
The closure of certain private media, the legal proceedings brought against journalists critical of the junta and the disappearance of the leaders of the FNDC were at the center of discussions with the UN mission.
The SPPG delegation invited the United Nations to get involved in ending the muzzling of the press in Guinea and the release of the leaders of the FNDC.
