In Guinea, tanker drivers took to the streets on Monday to protest what they describe as harsh and inhumane working conditions.
The drivers cited chronic fatigue, poor pay, and lack of rest facilities as some of their biggest challenges, calling on the government to take urgent steps to improve their situation.
They also decried late salary payments and the absence of proper infrastructure to support their vital work in the petroleum transport sector.
Describing their protest as a cry for help, the drivers urged authorities to recognize their contribution to the nation’s economy and ensure fair treatment and safer conditions.
