Campaigns for Guinea’s constitutional referendum concluded Thursday with massive rallies by “Yes” supporters in Conakry and other regional capitals.

While the ruling camp expressed confidence in a high turnout, opposition groups intensified their calls for citizens to either boycott the referendum or reject the proposed constitution.

The vote, scheduled for Sunday, is seen as a key test of the government’s ability to push through its reforms despite deep political divisions.
