Guinea’s Attorney General has requested a five-year jail term for Aliou Bah, leader of the opposition MODEL party.

Bah is accused of defamation and insulting the president via electronic media.

Prosecutor Fallou Doumbouya cited multiple offenses, while Bah’s lawyers have denounced the charges and are calling for his immediate release.
