Political parties and civil society organisations in Guinea are joining forces to swiftly bring to an end the military transition.
At a meeting on Monday, at the headquarters of the main opposition UFDG party, they insisted that the military authority complies with the transition timetable agreed upon with ECOWAS.
The socio-political organisations hope that civilian rule will be restored in Guinea after the conduct of the election at the latest by the end of 2024.
For the moment, the transitional government has not yet reacted to this statement by Guinean socio-political players.
In a recent statement, Guinean Prime Minister Bah Oury said that the transition could last until 2025.
