Guinean opposition leader Cellou Dalein Diallo has been charged with corruption, embezzlement, and money laundering by the Court for the Repression of Economic and Financial Crimes (CRIET).
The former Prime Minister is accused of financial misconduct related to the Air Guinea sale, a case his UFDG party calls politically motivated to tarnish his reputation.
The charges come amid rising political tensions in Guinea, with Diallo’s supporters dismissing the case as an attempt to silence opposition voices.
