Guinea is celebrating its 67th independence anniversary today, marking more than six decades since gaining freedom from colonial rule.
On the eve of the celebration, transitional president General Mamady Doumbouya addressed the nation, reflecting on the state of the country.
His speech highlighted economic reforms, government achievements, and what he described as a “new dynamic” for Guinea’s future.
The occasion has been framed by the military leader as both a celebration of progress and a call for renewed national unity.
