Guinea’s transitional President has declared three days of national mourning following Monday’s explosion at the central hydrocarbon depot.
Colonel Mamady Doumbouya addressed the nation, commending the national and international solidarity displayed in the aftermath of the fire.
He urged citizens to strictly adhere to government measures to manage the crisis, which has impacted various sectors of the country’s economy and society.
Doumbouya’s message, eagerly awaited by the Guinean populace, came three days post the explosion.
