Guinea-Bissau’s President, Umaro Sissoco Embalo, has rescheduled presidential and legislative elections to 23 November.

The decision follows consultations with political parties on resolving the country’s political crisis.

However, the main opposition coalition, Pai Terra Ranka, did not attend, questioning Embalo’s legitimacy as president.
