In this guest interview, we head to the heart of Bakau, The Gambia, where tradition, nature, and mystery come together in one sacred place, the Kachikally Crocodile Pool.
They say this is no ordinary pond.
For generations, people have journeyed here, women seeking blessings, families searching for hope, drawn by an age-old belief: that bathing in the waters of this sacred pool can bring fertility and the gift of new life.
And among the ancient trees and calm waters lives a guardian, a man who knows every ripple, every reptile, every story whispered by the pool. His name is Musa Drammeh, the crocodile attendant.
Today, we step into Musa’s world, where myths breathe, crocodiles listen, and faith flows through every drop of sacred water.
