Every term, children sit for exams, bring home report cards, and are praised or punished based on numbers on a sheet of paper. But beyond the grades and rankings, a bigger question remains: are we truly preparing them for real life?
While many students can memorise facts to pass a test, not all are being taught how to solve everyday problems, manage emotions, think creatively, or navigate the world beyond the classroom. As parents and teachers celebrate high scores, it may be time to ask whether success in school is the same as readiness for life.
