This edition of Guest Interview features Dr. Charity Binka, the Executive Director of the Accra-based NGO Women, Media and Change (WOMEC).
Dr. Binka is a prominent advocate for the mainstreaming of gender in decision-making processes. Speaking on the sidelines of a recent training program for female journalists, organized by the Media Foundation for West Africa with support from the French media development agency Canal France International (CFI), Dr. Binka emphasized women’s unique perspectives and contributions to various societal issues.
The training aimed to empower female journalists to take up leadership roles within their field and become leading voices on gender-centered matters.
