The Ghanaian government has confirmed it is engaging international experts to investigate the August 6 Ghana Air Force Z-9 helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region. The incident claimed the lives of all eight people on board, including two cabinet ministers.
Deputy Minister for Defence, Brogya Genfi, disclosed this when the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs visited the Ministry of Defence on Wednesday to offer condolences. He noted that the Ghana Armed Forces had already begun investigations and would work with foreign specialists to ensure a thorough and transparent process.
Mr Genfi urged the media and public to refrain from spreading misinformation about the tragedy. Paying tribute to the late Defence Minister, he described him as an exceptional leader whose vision for strengthening the Armed Forces was already yielding results.
