Ghana’s Presidency has cautioned Sammy Gyamfi, acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, after a video showed him handing out dollar bills to social media evangelist Patricia Asieduaa.
The video sparked public outrage, prompting an apology from Gyamfi, who described the act as a lapse in judgment.
Chief of Staff Julius Debrah acknowledged the apology and advised Gyamfi to stay attuned to public expectations moving forward.
The government says it values public feedback and remains committed to high standards of conduct.
