President John Dramani Mahama has urged for justice for the victims of the 2005 Gambia Massacre, where Gambian security forces killed around 56 West African migrants, mostly Ghanaians, under former President Yahya Jammeh’s orders.
During his recent visit to The Gambia, Mahama called on the international community to compensate the victims’ families and ensure accountability for those responsible.
He highlighted the importance of truth and reconciliation processes and stressed that justice for the victims remains a priority.
