President Nana Akufo-Addo has highlighted the need for increased efforts towards dealing with the disturbing security situation in the Sahel and parts of West Africa.

Akufo-Addo made the call during a meeting with the United States Deputy Secretary, Kurt Campbell at the Jubilee House in Accra.

The US senior official is on a four-nation visit which will end in the United Kingdom where he is expected to discuss democracy, trade, and technological innovations.
