Ghana’s Parliament has by a 138-136 majority decision approved the 2024 budget statement and economic policy of the government presented by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta 3 weeks ago.
The process towards the approval was truncated last week by a walkout by the majority who objected to a call by the minority in parliament for a headcount.
