Ghana’s National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) has approved the sale of 60% of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust’s (SSNIT) stake in four hotels to Rock City Hotel Limited, a company owned by the Minister of Agriculture.
This disclosure came from the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, when he appeared before parliament to answer urgent questions.
The MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who initially sounded the alarm about the deal, is demanding evidence of any assessment conducted by the NPRA to support their decision.
