The Minority in Parliament in Ghana are urging the government to draw lessons from the Kenyan riot and seriously address concerns of the public as they express fears of possible replication in Ghana, especially as the 2021 military invasion of the chamber of parliament remains unaddressed.

Kenyan President William Ruto has been compelled not to stand down the signing of the Finance Bill that was seeking to impose some levies, following violent protests which have claimed at least 17 lives.

5 Ghanaian MPs who were on a study tour of the parliament of the East African country were caught up in the insurrection but were rescued.

WADR’s Naa Dedei Tettey reports.
