In Ghana, Majority members on Parliament’s Communications Committee have dismissed calls for the resignation of Communications Minister Samuel Nartey George, describing them as unfounded.

The Minority caucus had earlier accused the minister of wasting time and resources in his push for DStv to slash subscription fees by 30 percent.

But Tain MP Sulemana Adama rebuffed the claims, calling them hypocritical and praising George’s performance in office so far.

He revealed that Parliament’s Communications Committee has invited both MultiChoice Ghana and the ministry for talks to resolve the standoff.
