In Ghana, the opposition National Democratic Congress through its minority MPs in parliament has called for the resignation of the governor of Ghana’s central bank in 21 days or they’ll demonstrate and occupy the premises of the central bank.
The call comes after the 2022 annual financial statement revealed the central bank incurred losses to the tune of 5.3 billion USD.
This compares to a profit of about 110 million USD recorded by the central bank in the 2021 financial year
