President John Mahama has expressed deep concern over the communal conflict in Ghana’s Savannah Region, describing the situation as troubling.
Speaking at a media engagement on Wednesday to review his first nine months in office, Mahama outlined measures his administration is implementing to restore calm and stability in the area.
The president assured that government is committed to fostering dialogue among rival groups while strengthening security to prevent further clashes.
He also emphasized that long-term solutions would focus on addressing root causes of the conflict, including land disputes and chieftaincy tensions.
