A Peace Researcher with the University of Cape Coast in Ghana is warning that stereotyping and exclusion of minority tribes particularly of Fulani extraction; could be breeding grounds for terror recruitments in the country.
Aside from regular arrests for crimes; Fulani herdsmen whose cattle have destroyed crops of farming communities have often resulted in clashes.
The analyst indicates that instead of attempting to contain such excesses, urgent steps are needed to include them in Ghana’s development efforts.
From Accra, WADR’s Naa Dedei Tettey reports.
