The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has criticized Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum’s assurance of releasing the 2024 WASSCE results by Sunday, December 29, as “scandalous.”
WAEC cited the government’s failure to address significant financial obligations, amounting to over GH¢100 million, as the primary cause of delays affecting about 460,000 students nationwide.
Despite logistical challenges, WAEC remains focused on processing the results but insists that funding constraints have hindered progress, raising concerns about the feasibility of the minister’s promise.
