President John Dramani Mahama has announced plans to airlift 5,000 Ghanaian pilgrims to Mecca for Hajj this year. Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony for the Hajj Village, he stressed the need for timely payments and proper arrangements.
The task force has set March 13 as the payment deadline. A pre-finance agreement with a local bank has ensured that deposits for accommodation, transport, and other logistics are covered.
President Mahama also directed officials to strictly adhere to the 5,000-pilgrim limit to avoid last-minute rush and logistical issues.
With these measures in place, Ghana aims to ensure a smooth and well-organized Hajj experience for its pilgrims.
