Ghana’s Supreme Court has dismissed two lawsuits seeking to challenge the controversial anti-gay bill currently before Parliament.
The plaintiffs argued that the bill infringes on fundamental human rights, but the Court ruled that the suits lacked merit. The bill, titled the “Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill,” continues to draw both local and international attention as it awaits further parliamentary proceedings.
