Food suppliers to the various senior high schools across Ghana are resuming their picketing at the food buffer stock head office this morning, following a temporary suspension of their protest over the weekend.
Members of the National Association of Food Suppliers, on July 4, initiated a continuous presence at the buffer stock head offices in Accra.
Their demand is for the government to settle the outstanding arrears amounting to 24 million USD, which has been owed to them for over two years.
These suppliers, representing all regions of the country, have lamented the detrimental impact on their businesses due to the government’s failure to make any payments since 2021.
Our Accra correspondent, Atiewin Mbillah-Lawson completes the story.
