Ghana’s Ministry of Health has announced plans to establish an investigative committee following allegations raised about operations at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital.
The move comes after an investigative report by The Fourth Estate, which has been widely shared on social media, highlighted alleged systemic practices at the facility.
According to the report, these practices may be imposing additional financial and administrative burdens on patients seeking medical care.
The ministry says the investigation will examine the claims thoroughly as part of efforts to ensure accountability and improve service delivery within the health sector.
