A presidential candidate in the 2024 elections in Ghana has called for calm in Bawku, a conflict-prone town in the Upper East Region, especially as the country heads into the polls.
He was reacting to the renewed chieftaincy clashes in the town that has so far claimed several lives, according to official reports.
According to Hassan Ayariga of the All People’s Congress (APC) the government must sit up and quell the escalating problems in the Bawku Township.
