President Nana Akufo-Addo has honored Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with the prestigious ‘Order of the Star of Ghana, Officer Award’ at the 2024 National Honours and Awards ceremony held in Accra on Monday.
The ceremony celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to Ghana across various fields. This year’s honorees included ministers of state, public and civil servants, business leaders, and professionals from diverse sectors. A posthumous award was also presented in memory of Black Pan-Africanist Marcus Garvey.
Speaking at the event, President Akufo-Addo commended the awardees for their service and urged them to continue working toward building a resilient and prosperous nation.
