In Ghana, police have arrested two babysitters accused of drugging and torturing their employer’s two-year-old twin sons in East Legon, Accra.
The suspects; 30-year-old student nurse Francisca Boakye and 31-year-old Harriet Ansah were apprehended by the Airport Divisional Police Command after the children’s mother noticed signs of abuse.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing, with the case drawing public outrage over child safety and domestic worker vetting in Ghana’s urban areas.
