The Ghana parliament’s majority leader and representative for Suame and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah has resigned.
This follows a meeting with President Nana Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House over a seeming impasse with the executive over an attempt to make changes to the front bench of the party in Parliament.
He is set to be replaced by his Deputy, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has however been made chairperson of the Manifesto Committee of the Party for the 2024 polls.
From Accra, WADR’s Naa Dedei Tettey reports.
