In Ghana, parliamentarians are set to resume debate on the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2025, widely referred to as the Anti-LGBTQ Bill.
On Tuesday, Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Bagbin instructed the Business Committee to table the proposed legislation for plenary debate, affirming that it meets constitutional and procedural requirements for reintroduction.
The decision comes amid mounting pressure from the Minority, which accuses the ruling administration of delaying a bill it had promised during the 2024 general election campaign.
