Ghana’s Parliament has rejected the reintroduction of the controversial Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, commonly referred to as the anti-gay bill, after it was mistakenly listed on the Order Paper.
The bill, which appeared for consideration on October 21, was later withdrawn from the business agenda, prompting confusion among lawmakers.
Minority MPs have since demanded clarification on the bill’s status, reigniting debate over one of Ghana’s most polarizing legislative proposals.
