The turmoil continues in Ghana’s Parliament as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) caucus has criticized their New Patriotic Party (NPP) counterparts for failing to attend a session, despite initiating a recall of the House. Due to the absence of NPP MPs and the lack of an agenda, the Speaker of Parliament adjourned the session indefinitely.

On the other hand, the NPP caucus has accused Speaker Alban Bagbin of allowing disorder in the House, alleging that he is enabling “lawlessness” by the NDC MPs who insist they are the majority and occupied the right hand of the speaker when the house reconvened.

The NPP MPs have served notice to trigger another recall of parliament.
