In Ghana, President John Dramani Mahama is set to travel to the United States for an official visit focused on reparatory justice.
The trip will take him to New York and Pennsylvania, where he will lead Ghana’s delegation to a high-level session at the United Nations.
Discussions will centre on addressing historical injustices linked to the transatlantic slave trade and honouring its victims.
President Mahama is also expected to deliver a keynote address at a High-Level Special Event on Reparatory Justice at the UN Headquarters.
