Ghana Government Signs Health Deal To Send Nurses To Grenada

Ghana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Grenada to enable the recruitment of Ghanaian nurses to work in the Caribbean nation. The agreement seeks to strengthen healthcare delivery in both countries while fostering cultural exchange and professional collaboration in the medical sector.

The MoU was signed during a two-day state visit by Grenadian Prime Minister Dickon Thomas Mitchell, who commended Ghana’s leadership in promoting democracy and trade liberalization across Africa.

President John Dramani Mahama described the partnership as a milestone in Ghana’s global healthcare cooperation efforts, emphasizing that it will create new opportunities for Ghanaian health professionals while supporting Grenada’s health workforce needs.

Prime Minister Mitchell, in his remarks, lauded Ghana’s growing influence on the continent and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations rooted in shared values and mutual development.
