At least five people have been killed in Ghana after violent clashes erupted over land in Gbiniyiri, a farming community in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.
Several others were injured, and properties destroyed when tensions flared following claims that the local chief sold the disputed land to a private developer.
Residents opposed the sale, accusing traditional authorities of sidelining the community in the decision-making process.
Local security officials say investigations are underway to restore calm and prevent further violence.
