Ghana’s Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, says the country has received a draft term sheet on debt relief from official creditors.
This development is considered sufficient for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to disburse 600 million US dollars to Accra.
The term sheet, provided by the Paris Club Group of creditors and new creditors, including China, follows months of negotiations to restructure up to 5.4 billion US dollars of bilateral debt.
WADR’s Naa Dedei Tettey completes the story.
