Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, unveiled the 2026 Budget in Parliament on Thursday, declaring the nation’s economy “back, strong, credible, and open for business.”

During his presentation, Dr. Forson highlighted that Ghana has regained economic stability and investor confidence, attributing the turnaround to both decisive government leadership and the resilience of the Ghanaian people.

As part of measures to stimulate growth, the Minister announced the abolition of the COVID-19 Levy and other levies, signaling a shift toward tax rationalization and support for businesses and households.

The 2026 Budget aims to strengthen public finances, accelerate job creation, and sustain macroeconomic stability, marking a critical step in Ghana’s post-pandemic recovery.
