The Electoral Commission (EC) in Ghana has directed the reprinting of ballot papers for the Ahafo and Volta Regions following the discovery of irregularities in the serialization process.
The issue emerged during an internal audit conducted by the EC, which revealed discrepancies at one of the printing facilities responsible for producing the ballot papers.
The EC assured the public that the reprinting process will be expedited to avoid disruptions to the electoral timeline. WADR’s Naa Dedei Tettey reports that stakeholders, including political parties, have been briefed on the situation to ensure transparency and trust in the electoral process.
This incident underscores the EC’s commitment to upholding the integrity of Ghana’s elections despite logistical challenges.
