Ghana’s Electoral Commission has officially announced John Dramani Mahama as the president-elect following the 2024 general elections.

Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, secured victory in a hotly contested race against the New Patriotic Party’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. This marks Mahama’s return to the presidency after serving from 2012 to 2016.
