The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has intercepted a 40-foot container containing a concealed cache of weapons at Tema Port.

The discovery, made on November 4, 2024, was the result of extensive investigations conducted by the GRA’s Intelligence and Preventive Units. According to officials, the weapons were hidden inside suitcases, raising concerns about security and the potential for illicit arms distribution.

The GRA has assured the public of its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders and preventing the smuggling of contraband items, emphasizing the importance of vigilance at entry points.
