Ghana’s Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has commended Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire for extending support to thousands of Ghanaians displaced by recent ethnic clashes in the Savannah Region.
He described the gesture as a demonstration of genuine Pan-African solidarity, particularly at a time when some West African states are distancing themselves from ECOWAS.
Ablakwa noted that the assistance provided by the two neighboring countries has eased the burden on displaced families and reinforced regional cooperation in times of crisis.
He reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to working closely with its neighbors to ensure the safe return and reintegration of affected citizens once stability is restored.
