A section of Ghanaians has welcomed the move by the country’s Electoral Commission to abandon its initial plan not to deploy the use of indelible ink in the December 2024 polls.
This comes after the EC initially planned to abandon the practice, sparking criticism from the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), parliament, civil society organizations, and election observers.
They warned that removing the ink could jeopardize the credibility of the elections.
