Ghana’s government is expected to soon announce its position on the Bawku mediation report presented by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The Asantehene was earlier this year mandated to lead a dialogue process aimed at resolving the long-standing chieftaincy conflict in Bawku, in the Upper East Region.
Following the submission of the report, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has called on all parties involved to respect and adhere to its findings.
The Bawku conflict has remained a major security and governance concern, with stakeholders hopeful that the mediation process will pave the way for lasting peace.
