Some Ghanaians have applauded the passage of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, popularly called the anti-gay bill.
On Wednesday, Ghana’s parliament approved the passage of the bill after completing the third reading.
The bill, awaiting the president’s assent, aims to criminalize LGBTQ+ activities and impose penalties for their promotion, advocacy, and funding.
Some Ghanaians who shared their thoughts with the WADR urged the President to assent to the bill.
