The Gambia’s  President Adama Barrow’s comments about the death of opposition leader Lawyer Ousainou Darboe have sparked public criticism in The Gambia.

Over the weekend, President Barrow made controversial remarks, stating that he would only relinquish power upon the death of the United Democratic Party (UDP) leader. His comments have been widely condemned as inappropriate and provocative.
