Some Gambians are expressing concerns and fear over a looming disaster following another ferry breakdown in the middle of the sea.

The ferry was en route to Barra from the capital Banjul. Thousands of Gambians and West Africans crisscross between Banjul and Barra daily traveling to various destinations.

Though no casualties were recorded in the latest incident, the passengers say there must be urgent steps taken by the relevant authorities to prevent a major disaster.
